Position Overview: Technical Delivery Lead
We are seeking a highly Technical Delivery Leader to drive the modernization of legacy web applications into a scalable modern architecture. This role combines technical project leadership, architectural translation, and senior-level code review to ensure high-quality delivery and long-term system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and extract business logic from legacy .aspx and JavaScript codebases.
- Translate legacy functionality into modern backend and frontend architectures.
- Write detailed, technically precise scopes for development execution.
- Conduct backend code reviews to ensure performance, scalability, and best practices.
- Review frontend implementations (Angular preferred) for structure and maintainability.
- Lead Agile sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking.
- Manage SDLC workflows using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Improve sprint predictability, code quality, and modernization velocity.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical project leadership or engineering management.
- Strong experience with modern backend frameworks (e.g., .NET Core, Node.js, Java Spring, or similar).
- Experience reviewing backend code for performance and architectural soundness.
- Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred; React acceptable).
- Experience working with or interpreting legacy web-based systems (e.g., WebForms or similar).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint management.
- Proficiency with Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Direct experience modernizing legacy .NET WebForms applications.
- Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework or similar).
- Angular Material experience.
- Background as a Senior Software Engineer or Solutions Architect.
- Experience working with US-based teams in CST time zones.
- Proven track record improving PR quality and reducing production defects.
