Business Data Analyst at Safeway Tax Relief Inc

Safeway Tax Relief Inc is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Data Analyst for onsite work in Irvine, CA. The candidate will analyze business and marketing data, develop KPIs, and deliver actionable insights across departments.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys working with complex data, and can translate technical findings into clear business recommendations that improve efficiency, marketing performance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean and organize data from various systems including CRM, marketing platforms, and financial software; analyze trends; design real-time dashboards; produce regular KPI reports; and identify data gaps.
  • KPI Development & Monitoring: Define and implement measurable KPIs, track performance metrics, and provide alerts on deviations.
  • Business & Marketing Insights: Analyze marketing campaign data, assess client trends, present visual insights, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Systems & Data Tools: Utilize Excel, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, and similar tools for visualization and analysis while maintaining data integrity.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to support strategic decision-making and planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
  • Strong experience with KPI development, business reporting, and marketing analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must work onsite at the Irvine, CA office.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the financial, tax, or professional services industries.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling and data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with data automation/integration tools.
  • Understanding of marketing funnel analytics and lead generation.
