About Safe Place for Youth
Safe Place for Youth (SPY) is the leading service provider for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in West Los Angeles. Founded in 2011, the agency provides trauma-informed, low barrier programs to help young people exit the streets and achieve stability.
About the Role
The Education & Employment Program Supervisor is responsible for supervising SPY Squad and leading E&E staff, programming, and youth interns. This role involves planning workshops, recruiting events, and ensuring a broad range of education and employment opportunities for SPY youth.
What You’ll Do
- Grow and develop the Education & Employment program.
- Ensure services are offered at all SPY locations.
- Cultivate external partnerships and implement best practices.
- Manage budget, payments, contracts, and data collection.
- Provide trauma-informed leadership and supervision.
- Coordinate youth internships and job readiness programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in education or employment services.
- Supervisory experience and knowledge of trauma-informed models.
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups in a multicultural environment.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The role involves prolonged sitting, working on a computer, occasional outdoor work, and lifting up to 15-20 pounds.
