Overview

The IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist - Senior role at S M Software Solutions Inc will support the development and execution of Data & AI strategy for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. This role is integral to the transformation initiative for the Ontario Data Platform (ODP).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage IT Enterprise Architecture strategy.
  • Align strategic objectives with technology, people, and processes.
  • Lead the creation and execution of RFPs and strategic communications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, IT clusters, and ministries.
  • Support operationalizing business strategy through systems and data governance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in data & AI strategy and execution.
  • Expertise in Data & AI Governance processes and technologies.
  • Experience with Azure, Databricks, and AI technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability in developing enterprise architecture and IT strategy.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management.
  • TOGAF certification and knowledge of Government of Ontario structure.

Engagement Details

This role is hybrid with initial requirement of 3 days onsite, evolving to 4 and then 5 days onsite. It is a contract position with an estimated duration from October 2025 to March 2026 with a probable extension.
