This team will enable advanced AI workflow engines like Agentspace and Gemini Enterprise to securely and intelligently interact with RWS's core systems.

As a Senior Software Engineer AI Integrations, you will be instrumental in creating the essential connective tissue between RWS's enterprise systems and its evolving AI platform layer. This pivotal role combines backend engineering, cloud services expertise, and intricate systems integration. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust APIs, seamless service integrations, scalable cloud functions, and effective orchestration patterns. These components will empower AI agents to access relevant data, execute actions safely, and deliver tangible value throughout the RWS ecosystem.

This is a hands-on, contract-based position ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You will have the opportunity to define early engineering patterns, develop reusable modules, and collaborate closely with product, data, and platform teams to build a solid, well-engineered foundation for AI at scale within RWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering critical integration points and backend capabilities that enable AI agents to understand context and perform useful actions.
• Building secure, reliable integrations with key enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence.
• Developing backend services and cloud functions to expose platform capabilities effectively to AI agents.
• Implementing robust orchestration patterns that facilitate seamless connections between Agentspace, Gemini Enterprise, and RWS's data, workflows, and tools.
• Designing clean, scalable API contracts for agent “tools” and action interfaces to ensure ease of use and extensibility.
• Ensuring all integration components are secure, thoroughly tested, observable, and strictly adhere to platform governance standards.
• Collaborating closely with data platform teams to establish safe and efficient access to curated datasets for agent workflows.
• Contributing significantly to the development of early engineering patterns, reusable modules, and the overarching integration architecture that will underpin RWS's broader AI enablement strategy.

This role is vital for transforming RWS's AI use cases into fully functional, production-ready capabilities by granting AI agents the ability to retrieve context, comprehend content, and trigger actions across various RWS systems.

Skills & Experience

• Significant proven experience as a backend or platform-focused software engineer.
• Strong capability in designing and implementing complex system-to-system integrations.
• Extensive experience working with modern cloud serverless environments, with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise being mandatory (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
• Comfortable and proficient with OAuth flows, secrets management, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and secure service-to-service communication.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration APIs and a proven ability to design clean, reliable API interfaces for use by other engineers or downstream systems.
• A proactive mindset centered on stability, observability, and operational readiness in all development efforts.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate effectively with product, platform, and data teams.
• Experience with AI platforms (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI, LangChain, or internal agent frameworks) is highly beneficial.
