Job Overview
The Polysomnographic Technologist works under the supervision of the Medical Director and Administrative Director of Pulmonary & Sleep Services to provide comprehensive sleep study evaluations and treatment. The role includes performing sleep studies on various age groups, proper equipment setup and maintenance, troubleshooting, and adhering to safety and HIPAA protocols.
Essential Functions
- Conduct sleep studies for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Set up and troubleshoot sleep equipment including CPAP/BIPAP devices.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to AASM guidelines.
- Assist in sleep center operational tasks and clerical work.
- Perform equipment care, inventory evaluation and routine maintenance.
Qualifications & Certifications
Required: High School diploma or equivalent, one-year experience as a sleep technologist. Preferred: CCSH certification. Must have a Current New Jersey State License as a Polysomnographic Technologist and/or Respiratory Therapist, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Scheduling & Shift Details
This position requires working three night shifts a week (6:30pm-7am), with rotating shifts and occasional weekends in a full-time capacity.
