Job Overview

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will work with the healthcare team through the Shared Governance model with an emphasis on evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care practices based on current research and standards.
  • Implement wound care programs by developing protocols and policies.
  • Educate clinical staff on wound care and pressure injury prevention.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain cost-effective wound care formulary and collaborate with supply chain vendors.

Qualifications

BSN degree, current NJ RN Licensure, American Heart Association CPR BLS certification, WOCN Certification in wound care, and clinical experience from an NLN accredited school are required. Additional experience may be necessary based on departmental needs.
