About the Role
The Patient Programs Specialist at Rula is a licensed mental health professional who supports the management of complex and high-risk clinical situations. Reporting to the Clinical team, you will act as a subject matter expert for providers, patients, and internal teams. You will resolve questions, investigate clinical risks, address grievances, and ensure that patient safety and regulatory compliance are maintained. Interaction with providers and patients is via video, phone, or email, and on-call crisis response during business hours may be required in the future.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree and an active, unencumbered clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent)
- 5 years of post-master’s clinical experience with high-acuity and crisis cases
- Expertise in patient safety, crisis intervention, and clinical risk management
- Strong investigative, documentation, and communication skills
- Experience collaborating and coaching across departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telehealth, community mental health, or care coordination
- Experience addressing patient complaints and coaching providers
- Experience with care coordination and systems of care
- High-growth mental health tech start-up experience
- Ability to work independently with a strong focus on compliance and detail
