Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has an opening for a Lead Automation RPA Developer (Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) to join the Enterprise Intelligent Automations Program. This is an Individual Contributor Remote Opportunity.

BPM development experience would be a bonus.

This position focuses on intelligent automation opportunities that are aimed at creating efficiencies within various business processes across business units, utilizing different automation technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and configure intelligent automation processes to meet defined process requirements in accordance with standard design principles and conventions.
• Quickly learn automation design/development standards and principles to develop automation objects that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
• Partner with business analysts and technical leadership to provide input on automation opportunities in terms of potential solution design and level of effort.
• Create and maintain solution documentation.
• Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Tech Leads on code reviews & automation designs.
• Actively contribute towards the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of RTX design principles and standards for intelligent automations.
• Collaborate across technical and functional teams responsible for underlying systems when developing process automations interacting with those systems.
• Work in an agile framework with iterative cycles of requirements definition, development, and testing.
• Work collaboratively with business analysts and process owners during the testing phases to fix assigned defects with quality solutions.
• Report status, issues, and risks to Delivery Leads, Tech Leads, Business Analysts, and Automations leadership, as needed.
• Possess solid communication and collaboration skills to foresee and highlight potential requirements gaps.
• Take responsibility for deliverables including work estimation, planning, communication with business analysts, and automation quality/robustness.
• Work across technology teams, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and other application teams, to deliver robust automations.
• Identify opportunities for industrialization of objects for reuse in future processes.
• Be proactive in the identification of new process, technology, and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 8+ years development experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 5+ years related work experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Experience working in a team structure and collaborating with partners outside of the IT organization to solve business problems with technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluating information to determine the best solution.
• A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with agile development methodology.
• Prior experience with BPM development.

Required Education

• Typically a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
