Digital Technologies Associate Director - Program Manager

RTX Corporation, a leader in Aerospace and Defense, is seeking a Digital Technologies (DT) Associate Director - Program Manager to join their ES Applications Value Management Office (VMO). This role is crucial for leading the company's largest and most complex programs, focusing on application development, enhancements, and modernization, including SaaS implementations. The VMO emphasizes multi-mode value delivery, blending traditional project management with Agile product delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and drive the largest and most complex DT programs with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding and supporting the organization's strategic vision.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with executive sponsors to drive alignment and shared success.
  • Oversee core PM responsibilities: schedule, decisions, resources, financials, requirements, risks, and dependencies.
  • Drive program delivery cadence, maintaining momentum and accountability by blending Agile and Waterfall techniques.
  • Communicate program progress and value delivery effectively to senior and executive leaders.
  • Navigate complex political landscapes and initiate tactful executive escalations for critical decisions.
  • Contribute to enhancing and maturing PM services and value management capabilities.
  • Maintain focus on cyber, architecture, and compliance artifacts, securing necessary approvals.
  • Potentially travel up to 20% within the US.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • University degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience, OR 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience managing DT software development or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale programs with complex enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Payroll, Data Repository, Engineering systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage dependencies, resources, and schedules across concurrent Enterprise programs.
  • 3+ years of experience building and managing schedules in MS Project.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in government and/or large, complex corporate/industrial environments.
  • Expertise in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience developing and managing financial business cases and cost/benefit analyses for DT programs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications (MS Project add-ins/extensions, Excel pivots/analysis, SharePoint advanced features).
  • Experience integrating multiple project methodologies (waterfall & Agile, SAFe).
  • SAFe or similar Agile certifications and Project Management certification (PMP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors: Driving Results, Instilling Trust, Collaborating, Communicating Effectively, Customer Focus, Courage, and Strategic Vision.
