About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect based in India to lead and execute AI-driven data migration initiatives within the Salesforce ecosystem. This role is central to our strategy of leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced data techniques to deliver seamless migrations to and from Salesforce. We are also looking for this role to help drive our implementation services of Salesforce Data Cloud. You will work at the intersection of data migration, AI, and Salesforce platform expertise to ensure data integrity, scalability, and intelligent transformation across complex enterprise datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data migration strategies for Salesforce and Data Cloud implementations using AI-powered tools and frameworks.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse source systems (ERP, CRM, data warehouses, legacy systems) into Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Apply AI techniques for data quality assessment, automated mapping, deduplication, entity resolution, and anomaly detection during migration processes.
- Architect data models within Salesforce Data Cloud, including Data Model Objects (DMOs), data streams, and calculated insights to support unified customer profiles.
- Collaborate with Salesforce architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to define data migration requirements, mapping specifications, and transformation rules.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across migration phases.
- Implement data governance standards, lineage tracking, and compliance controls throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Leverage Salesforce tools such as MuleSoft, Data Loader, Salesforce CLI, and APIs (REST/Bulk/Streaming) to facilitate data movement and integration.
- Monitor and optimize migration performance, troubleshoot data pipeline failures, and ensure SLA adherence.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation including data dictionaries, migration runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data architecture, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce data migrations or Salesforce Data Cloud implementations.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline frameworks across Snowflake, Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), AWS (Glue, Redshift, Step Functions), and GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer).
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and the Salesforce data model (standard/custom objects, relationships, metadata).
- Demonstrated experience applying AI tools for data quality, entity matching, or intelligent data transformation (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Google Vertex AI, or custom models).
- Experience with MuleSoft, Workato, or other integration platforms for enterprise-scale data connectivity.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services.
- Knowledge of data governance, data privacy regulations (GDPR, India’s DPDP Act), and data security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications such as Data Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer, or MuleSoft Developer.
- Experience with Salesforce Einstein AI, Agentforce, or Prompt Builder for AI-native Salesforce solutions.
- Familiarity with vector databases, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns, and LLM integration for data enrichment.
- Experience with EDI data formats and B2B integration patterns.
- Prior experience working with global or distributed teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to data lakehouse architectures (Snowflake, Databricks) and their integration with Salesforce.
