Key Responsibilities for a Federal Tax Services Intern
As a Federal Tax Services Intern, you will be an integral part of a team focused on a diverse range of tax specialty areas. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with a team on various tax specialty areas, such as accounting for income taxes, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, private client services, and not-for-profit organizations.
- Conducting tax planning and research to support client needs.
- Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Developing a strong understanding of complex tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
Basic Qualifications
- Completed 90 credit hours towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Currently pursuing an Accounting Major.
- Willingness to travel to assigned client locations as required, with access to reliable transportation.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Capability to work and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role is in the range of $36 - $43 per hour, reflecting various factors including education, skills, and experience.
