About the Role
The Assurance Sr Associate - Consumer Goods at RSM US LLP plays a pivotal role in delivering audit and accounting services to middle market clients. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, executing audit procedures in accordance with RSM's methodology, and ensuring high-quality client service while upholding professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Understand client business, industry, and accounting systems including IFRS/GAAP/GAAS.
- Perform audit procedures, tests, and documentation per RSM audit methodology.
- Identify risks and address accounting/audit issues with engagement teams.
- Prepare audit reports, management letters and document work to quality standards.
- Supervise and train associates while collaborating across teams.
- Conduct research on technical accounting issues and develop industry expertise.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in Commerce or MBA with a Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA qualification and 2-4 years of audit/accounting experience. Must possess strong technical accounting skills (IFRS/GAAP/GAAS), multi-tasking, project management, and excellent verbal and written English communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Consumer Goods industry and strong data analytical skills (advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are desirable.
