Audit Intern Position Description

As an Assurance Intern Winter 2027, you will work with both large and small companies across various industries. You will develop strong working relationships with clients by understanding their business challenges, accounting systems, and industry standards such as GAAP and GAAS.

The role includes working on multiple team engagements, performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls, assessing risks, and drafting financial statements under prescribed formats.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Understand client needs, business, and industry challenges
  • Learn and apply the RSM audit approach and tools
  • Assess risks and evaluate internal control structures
  • Perform tests to identify accounting and reporting issues
  • Draft financial statements using prescribed formats

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed 90 credit hours toward a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Major in Accounting
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • Willingness to travel to assigned client locations with reliable transportation
