Job Summary: Nurse II ICU

The Nurse II ICU at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center plans, provides, and supervises nursing interventions for individuals with cancer and cancer-related health care problems. This role involves diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through patient care, health teaching, and counseling, as well as providing interventions supportive of life and well-being. The Nurse II ICU executes medical regimens prescribed by licensed health care providers and supervises Nurse I's, Licensed Practical Nurses, Hospital Clinical Assistants, and Clinical Support Assistants. Additionally, the position includes administrative tasks within the assigned area and encourages professional growth through educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.

A characteristic of this per diem position is the short, unscheduled notice associated with reporting for duty, the variable nature of hours worked per payroll period, and its non-benefit earning status.
