Job Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider I/II at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center provides evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic phases of illness. This role involves assessing physical symptoms, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. The provider will be responsible for continued care throughout the patient's medical journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in both acute and chronic settings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications.
- Educate and mentor clinical staff including nurses, residents, fellows and interns.
- Participate in surgical oncology services under expert guidance.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a valid license to practice in New York along with the required certifications for either the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant pathway. Minimum educational requirements include a Master’s or higher degree in Nursing for NPs, or a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree with the appropriate certification for PAs. In addition, two years of progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience is required.
Additional Requirements
- ACLS certification within six months of appointment.
- Surgical and oncology experience is highly desired.

Compensation
Starting salary is 133,124 annually.
