RootstockLabs aims to make Bitcoin accessible for everyone by scaling Bitcoin utility through Rootstock and RIF. This is a pivotal Product Flows and Tokenomics role (based in Europe or South America) with significant product leverage, extending beyond typical business analysis. You will be at the critical intersection where strategic vision becomes buildable reality, transforming initiatives into precise, detailed end-to-end flows with integrated tokenomics and liquidity from the outset.

RIF is designed to accelerate Bitcoin DeFi adoption on Rootstock by powering community incentives, infrastructure, and interoperability. This includes rewards, governance, and grants via RootstockCollective, alongside essential infrastructure like USDRIF and RNS.

Your contributions will help translate complex on-chain activity and user behavior into clear, actionable insights that will shape product decisions, incentives, and ecosystem growth. Your work will directly influence user journey design, resource allocation, and how long-term adoption is measured. We are building products that empower safe and meaningful participation in decentralized finance, and you will be crucial in understanding user interactions and translating those insights into improvements for usability, incentives, and growth.

Your mandate is to make RIF utility tangible and recognizable by delivering a flagship real-world use case and a family of complementary use cases, all supported by flows that users genuinely engage with.

What you will do:

• Deliver canonical end-to-end flow definitions ready for squad implementation.
• Design tokenomics and liquidity into those flows from day one.
• Drive measurable improvements in adoption, comprehension, and reduce flow drop-off and failure points.

What you will learn:

• Build Bitcoin DeFi user journeys that remain coherent under real liquidity constraints.
• Make token utility clear to everyday users without oversimplification.
• Utilize telemetry and market signals to prioritize with evidence, not assumptions.

90 day impact:

By day 90, you will clearly articulate the RIF north star and initiatives, having delivered canonical flow specifications for the most business-critical journeys. Your analysis will be an essential input for squad build decisions, and your tokenomics and liquidity insights will inform product leadership decisions across the RIF product area.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate RIF strategy and ongoing initiatives into detailed end-to-end business flows, including states, transitions, failure modes, and edge cases.
• Define implementation-ready flow-level requirements (inputs, outputs, constraints, dependencies, acceptance criteria), producing unambiguous definitions that minimize rework.
• Identify and quantify friction within flows across onramping, user comprehension, telemetry gaps, and operational/support burden. Own these issues through to resolution, establishing measurable paths to success.
• Define success metrics for critical flows and collaborate with Data Intelligence to instrument telemetry that explains adoption, drop-off, and liquidity bottlenecks.
• Model tokenomics impact within key flows, considering user incentives, costs, rewards, and governance touchpoints, and identify second-order effects.
• Ensure liquidity is a primary design constraint, mapping dependencies, failure points, and mitigation options across partners and internal protocols.
• Integrate tokenomics and liquidity considerations into every relevant flow specification, preventing them from being added as an afterthought.
• Serve as an expert on your market, key sector trends, and competitor offerings relevant to your products, translating successful external patterns into concrete flow improvements.
• Benchmark market-leading patterns outside Rootstock and RIF, translating effective strategies into pragmatic recommendations. Provide structured input to Product leadership for cross-product tokenomics and prioritization trade-offs.
• Assist in setting team OKRs aligned with company and group objectives, as envisioned by Product Managers and Product Directors.
• Establish clear, shared terminology and mental models across Product, Engineering, Data Intelligence, Legal, Marketing, and Finance teams.
• Elevate the quality of written artifacts, producing concise specifications, flow diagrams, and decision memos that enhance clarity and reduce rework. Quality and velocity in communication are prioritized over volume.

What You Bring

We are seeking a candidate who embodies many of the following qualities:

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and abstraction: You can transform fuzzy, high-level concepts (strategy, incentives, ecosystem dynamics) into concrete, testable flows and decisions.
• Demonstrable experience owning complex end-to-end business flows where financial and asset movement, along with failure modes, are critical.
• Strong written communication: You produce clear specifications and decision memos, using AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute.
• Practical understanding of crypto asset mechanics (wallets, on and off-ramps, bridges, liquidity, pricing, fees, etc.) and how they influence user journeys. Ability to reason about tokenomics and incentives at both flow and ecosystem levels, simplifying concepts for users.
• Strong awareness of executing go-to-market strategies and a relentless pursuit of product-market fit. You are comfortable forming hypotheses, instrumenting key metrics, and adapting your perspective when data contradicts initial narratives.
• Ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear written artifacts and calm, high-trust collaboration. Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Finance, free from politics or theatrics.
• A bias for action and independence: You proactively identify, drive, and complete work without heavy supervision. You can constructively challenge while maintaining professionalism.
• Systems and patterns thinking: You anticipate second-order effects (liquidity, telemetry, operational load, legal, and finance constraints) before they escalate into incidents.
• Curiosity about market best practices and competitor patterns, coupled with the judgment to filter out noise. A passion for innovation, balanced with a grounded and pragmatic approach.
• If you have owned complex flows in fintech, payments, trading, or onboarding, and/or possess hands-on crypto fluency, we encourage you to apply.
• Pro-Bitcoin alignment and thoughtful conviction about Bitcoin DeFi are essential.
