Overview

The Technical Training Manager - HVAC Service Division at Rogers Mechanical Contractors designs, develops, and delivers technical training programs centered around the NCCER Training program. This role ensures that technicians, apprentices, and other service personnel possess the technical skills, safety knowledge, and customer service competencies required to perform at high levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging technical training in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services.
  • Conduct both classroom and hands-on lab sessions.
  • Assess participant skill levels and recommend development plans.
  • Stay current on relevant codes, standards, and technologies.
  • Partner with Service leadership to tailor training content.
  • Maintain training records and provide monthly progress updates.
  • Support onboarding of new team members with foundational training.
  • Contribute to digital and e-learning content development.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through rigorous training.
  • Serve as a technical resource for field teams.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

NCCER Certified Trainer with extensive experience in technical training. Must have strong mechanical systems knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and audiovisual tools. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Education and Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC service, or plumbing service. Prior roles such as field technician, foreman, or supervisor are strongly desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various environments including mechanical rooms and rooftops.
