Who We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Vice-President, Government Affairs, the Director, Government Relations Ontario requires significant experience working in and with various levels of government, trade associations, campaigns, and regulatory agencies. A background in broadcasting and telecommunications policy is an asset. The ideal candidate is smart, takes initiative, and demonstrates excellent judgment while managing ambiguity and competing priorities.
What You Will Do
- Lead advocacy efforts with provincial and municipal stakeholders.
- Develop strategic approaches to issues, policy, politics, and regulation.
- Monitor government policy developments impacting Rogers.
- Develop strategic campaigns addressing key policy areas.
- Maintain key relationships with municipal, provincial, and regulatory figures.
- Advise internally on government initiatives and regulation.
- Represent Rogers before provincial and municipal bodies.
- Liaise between the provincial executive team and national leadership.
What You Bring
A post-secondary education and 10+ years of experience in public sector, political, media, or industry roles. Superior communication skills and extensive experience with stakeholder communities are essential. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are required. A background check, criminal check, credit check, and possibly a drivers abstract will be conducted.
Work Details
- Location: 333 Bloor Street East (012), Toronto, ON
- Work Schedule: On-site 4 days per week, increasing to 5 days
