Nurse Aide

Department: Med/ Surg - West 3 Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital Hours Per Week: 15 Schedule: 3p-11p, 8-hour work shifts, every other weekend rotation

Summary

The Nurse Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document direct comprehensive, family and patient centered care.
  • Provide world class customer service to patients and families.
  • Report patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean patient and family centered environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS)

Additional Information

Union: 1199 - Service Maintenance and Clerical (CPH) (Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible)

Physical Requirements: Medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

Pay Range

$17.74 - $25.22 per hour (base pay range, subject to modification based on experience and qualifications)
