Join un as a (Senior) Legal Counsel and act as a strategic business partner to our global team of digital experts. You will act as a legal business partner to the Customer Areas, Lifecycles and Global and Group Functions in RIS (Roche Information Solutions) and support those teams in all legal matters. You will be part of a global network of legal professionals and will also collaborate closely with other legal teams in Roche Diagnostics and Roche Pharma on overarching projects and topics in the field of Data, Digital and Privacy. In this role, you will provide high-impact legal guidance to our Customer Areas and Lifecycles, helping to build a sustainable digital health business through innovative data-driven solutions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can constructively challenge the status quo and collaborate with a global network of legal professionals in the Legal Data, Digital & Privacy (DDP) function.The Opportunity
- Provide expert legal advice to RIS Customer Areas and Global Functions on all legal matters including data privacy, AI, and software commercialization
- Draft and negotiate complex agreements, including IT licenses, R&D, and strategic partnerships involving intricate data security questions
- Lead legal coordination for digital and IT projects, ensuring compliance with global data privacy and cybersecurity standards
- Develop and implement legal strategies and data privacy policies for Roche Diagnostics businesses in collaboration with senior leadership
- Educate and train global teams on emerging legal topics, including IT law and AI regulations
- Support the broader DDP Legal Function as an active member, influencing group-wide legal standards for digital health
Who You Are
You are a proactive legal professional with a strong affinity for information technology and the ability to translate complex technical issues, like AI and cloud solutions, into sound legal advice. You possess strong business acumen, are results-oriented, and enjoy working across cultures in a multinational environment. On top you bring the following qualifications:- University Law degree and bar admission to practice law in your relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a multinational legal department and/or an international law firm
- Expertise in Digital, AI, IT, and IP law, with deep knowledge of EU data privacy regulations (US privacy knowledge is a plus)
- Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
- Collaborative mindset and a willingness to travel abroad to support our global mission
