Position Summary
The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for properties. This role involves supervising accounting staff handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end closings while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements and conduct profit and loss variance analyses.
- Monitor tax, insurance escrow accounts, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Train and supervise property accountants and accounting staff.
Performance Objectives
Adhere to company policies, maintain accurate financial records, and support continuous process improvements through best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and team leadership skills.
