About RJCCQ
The Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec (RJCCQ) is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes young business people in their ecosystem. In addition to its vast geographical reach, the RJCCQ represents over 10,000 young entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals aged 18 to 40 who are members of young chambers of commerce and youth wings, including 15 organizations from cultural communities. As the voice of young business people, the RJCCQ strives to support their ambitions to create a more prosperous and inclusive Quebec.
To continue fulfilling its mission, the RJCCQ is currently seeking a Communications and Marketing Intern for Summer 2026 (duration to be determined).
Mandate, Responsibilities, and Specific Tasks
Communications and Marketing
- In collaboration with management, implement communication plans and marketing strategies aligned with project objectives and deliverables.
- Through reports to management, measure and analyze the impact of actions taken, contribute to monthly performance reports, and develop strategies to increase and stimulate engagement.
- Write and revise various content: newsletters, press releases, articles, social media posts, speeches, and informational documents. Respect the editorial calendar of digital platforms.
- Manage social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X): writing, scheduling, moderation, interaction, and customer service.
- Ensure the website is updated and brand image is consistent.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of suppliers and freelancers related to the communications department (agencies, graphic designers, directors, producers, photographers).
- Participate, based on the visual identity of each project, in creating simple visuals and developing communication tools (posters, presentations, basic videos).
Media Relations
- Contribute to the preparation and updating of media lists, press kits, and advisories.
- Compile the press review.
Events and Partnerships
- Contribute to promoting RJCCQ events.
- Ensure compliance with deliverables with various partners in collaboration with the partnership management.
Other
- Be responsible for video shoots (if applicable).
- Write and publish the organization's annual report.
- All other related tasks.
Specific Job Requirements
To be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program, the participant must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the time of hiring.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada in accordance with applicable provincial or territorial laws and regulations. This includes having a valid social insurance number upon hiring.
University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Be driven by large-scale projects and challenges.
Comfortable managing digital platforms and social media.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Canva and WordPress.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently or in a team.
Good adaptability, interpersonal skills, listening skills, good priority management, initiative, creativity, and an excellent sense of responsibility.
Excellent French language skills, both oral and written.
Strong interest in current affairs related to Quebec's emerging business sector.
Understanding of the non-profit reality, particularly the environment of young chambers of commerce and youth wings (an asset).
Working Conditions
- Internship duration: 12 weeks (late May to late August)
- Full-time 35h/week until Canada Day, then 28h/week until the end of the mandate.
- Possibility of overtime and travel depending on event realities.
- Hybrid work mode: 1 day per week in person, other days are at the employees' choice. RJCCQ offices are located at 1100 boul. Robert-Bourassa, RC-01, Mtl Québec, H3B 3A5.
- Salary: $18/hour
