Overview

Rize Credit Union is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and drive data-informed strategies to support our members and mission. With a keen analytical mindset and attention to detail, you will play a key role in forecasting, financial planning, and delivering insights that foster responsible and sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare forecasts, balance sheet/income projections, and monthly reports for leadership.
  • Analysis & Insights: Monitor cash flow, loan and deposit trends, and pricing to bolster profitability and growth.
  • Strategic Support: Assist budgeting, strategic planning, and ALCO reporting while developing long-term financial models.
  • Data Management: Utilize SQL and financial modeling tools such as PROFITstar to extract and analyze data.
  • Asset Liability Management: Run simulations, validate assumptions and analyze results for balance sheet management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to financial processes, tools, and controls.

Experience & Skills

3-5 years of financial analysis experience within a financial institution is preferred. A robust understanding of credit union financial operations, US GAAP, financial statement analysis and management techniques is essential. Proficiency with Report Writers, GL Accounting Systems, and data visualization software is required. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a working knowledge of SQL are necessary.

Education & Interpersonal Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required. The role demands clear communication, especially when explaining complex financial information to non-finance audiences, along with the ability to manage differing opinions diplomatically.
