Role Summary
As an Assistant Service Operations Manager - Night Shift, you will work closely with the Service Operations Manager to ensure high performance in service operations. This role requires energy, initiative, and a customer-first approach while managing local operations, cost centers, and high-value inventory reconciliation. You will also lead a team of Mobile/Service Technicians, Service Advisors, and Parts Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Service Operations Manager to exceed performance and customer service standards.
- Manage budget expectations, including working hours, inventory costs, and accounts receivable.
- Provide hands-on leadership and servant leadership to local operations.
- Oversee high-value inventory reconciliation and collaborate across functions.
- Plan logistics and coordinate meetings with internal teams and external parties.
- Fill in for the Service Operations Manager when needed.
- Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organizational excellence.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of related work experience in automotive or related technical fields.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing onsite and remote service teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced administrative skills.
- Automotive technical knowledge and familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and SWOT analyses preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work long hours and handle physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range for Non-San Francisco Based Applicants: $87,300 - $109,100. Actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and other factors. Rivian offers robust medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees and their families.
