Role Summary: AI, Machine Learning & Data Science Intern
This is a bucket application for Rivian’s Summer 2026 Internship programs. Your application will be considered for various AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science-related roles. If selected, you will receive specific details regarding responsibilities and qualifications for the particular role you are being considered for.
Rivian internships are designed for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited program during the Summer 2026 internship term, with an expected graduation date between Fall 2026 through Spring 2028. Active student enrollment is a requirement for Rivian's Internship Program.
Note: If your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill them.

Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Robotics, AI, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
- Must have experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, SQL, C++, MATLAB, Java, Kotlin.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Previous experience working within AI frameworks is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in machine learning research or project work is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and experience with frameworks such as Databricks MLflow, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Pay Disclosure
The hourly salary range for this role is $33.00-$51.00/HR for Palo Alto based applicants, $26.00-$45.00/HR for Irvine based applicants, and $25.00-$40.00/HR for Normal and Plymouth based applicants. An individual's exact compensation will be determined by factors including specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
