We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (m/f/d) (unlimited) to join our team at our location in Berlin – hybrid working conditions available.Key Responsibilities
- Drive business analysis activities across the product lifecycle, from discovery and requirement gathering to solution design, implementation support, and acceptance testing.
- Develop expertise in customer risk and fraud domain for Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and Consumer Finance products, and leverage this knowledge to contribute to business and product improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams in an agile, cross-functional environment.
- Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and impact of new features or system improvements.
- Translate business needs into clear system requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Validate delivered functionality together with the team to ensure business logic and requirements are correctly implemented.
- Maintain clear documentation for system functionality, interfaces, and platform services.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, or a comparable field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role in a FinTech or financial services environment.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, self-driven working style with a strong sense of ownership.
- Fluency in English. German language skills are a strong plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BNPL, consumer finance, or credit risk domains.
- Knowledge of banking processes and regulatory requirements is considered a valuable plus.
- Basic data analysis skills (Python, Power BI, Databricks).
