About Plaid Software Engineering Intern Summer 2026

This role is with Plaid. Plaid uses RippleMatch to find top talent. Plaid empowers financial transformation by building tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create innovative financial products.

Responsibilities

You will be fully embedded within an engineering team. Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute meaningfully from day one
  • Own a starter project followed by a capstone project
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teammates
  • Participate in intern-specific onboarding and programming sessions

Qualifications

Candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Physics, Math, Statistics, or a related field. Expected graduation date is Winter 2026 or Spring 2027. Applicants should demonstrate project experience, have a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, and proficiency in at least one programming language.

Technical Environment

The team works with decoupled services, distributed systems, and various programming languages including Go, TypeScript, and Python, selecting the right tool for the job.
