AI Automation Specialist

About the Role

Ricoh USA, Inc. is seeking an AI Automation Specialist to partner with our Content Management (CM) team. This role involves analyzing workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and delivering AI-driven recommendations and prototypes. We are looking for an individual with strong foundational AI development skills who can translate business problems into practical, measurable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation scripts or API-based solutions to improve Content Management workflows.
• Assess current CM processes, including tagging, metadata management, routing, quality checks, and intake workflows.
• Produce clear, actionable AI recommendations with defined success metrics and ROI impact.
• Create automation roadmaps based on team needs and feasibility.
• Implement and operationalize solutions such as:
  • Auto-tagging
  • Smart routing
  • Content similarity detection
  • Summarization or quality validation
• Partner with engineering or workflow teams to integrate prototypes into production.
• Define measurable benchmarks for AI model performance.
• Conduct tests, compare model performance, and iterate based on feedback.
• Work closely with CM stakeholders to understand challenges and gather requirements.
• Present prototypes, findings, and recommendations to non‑technical partners.
• Facilitate user testing and incorporate insights into improvements.
• Document prompts, workflows, pipeline logic, and decision criteria.
• Create simple guides or reusable patterns for future AI use cases.

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands‑on experience in applied AI/ML, NLP, or intelligent automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience with using generative models (ChatGPT, Gemini) for content, coding assistants (GitHub Copilot), and design platforms (Midjourney, Canva).
• Experience maintaining or using a centralized content library or knowledge base.
• Experience building POCs or AI-driven automations using Python.
• Familiarity with LLM tooling (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
• Understanding of prompt engineering concepts, embeddings, vector search, or RAG patterns.
• Ability to break down business problems and propose AI solutions.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar).
• Exposure to document processing (OCR, metadata extraction, classification).
• Experience evaluating AI model performance.
