Intern, Internal Audit

The mission of the Ricoh USA, Inc. Internal Audit Department is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to add value, reduce risk, and improve company operations, both domestically and internationally across North, Central, and South America.

In this role as an Intern, Internal Audit, you will gain hands-on experience in audit procedures across various business processes including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and expense analysis. You will work alongside experienced professionals and participate in real-world audit engagements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with internal audits over processes using COSO framework and Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Support audit teams in researching audit issues and tracking financial data with analytics software.
• Identify and communicate audit-related issues and help develop solutions.
• Collaborate with client teams and build professional relationships.
• Participate in training sessions, team-building activities, and mentorship discussions.
• Contribute to community outreach initiatives and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of financial systems and SQL.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Candidates should have basic knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal control requirements including Section 404, and audit methodologies. The role requires project management, process improvement skills, and the ability to make effective presentations while working collaboratively.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily office-based with adequate lighting, ventilation, temperature control, and occasional travel. Physical demands are minimal and typical for an office environment.
