About the Data Labeling Specialist Role
As a Data Labeling Specialist, you will verify and improve the quality of event data that fuels predictive intelligence systems. You will review records extracted from global news sources, ensuring accuracy in event classifications, actor identification, geographic tagging, and temporal coding.
- Review and verify event data against original news sources.
- Identify coding errors and flag misattributions.
- Apply sound judgment on ambiguous cases and document reasoning.
- Communicate progress and improvements with project leadership.
- Maintain data security standards in a remote setting.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree (completed or in progress).
- Strong knowledge of international affairs, geopolitics, or current events.
- Excellent English reading comprehension and preferably additional language proficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google tools (Excel, Word, Sheets).
- Exceptional detail orientation and analytical reasoning skills.
