Job Description
As an Application Developer at Rhodeway, you will help design, build, and maintain business applications that support our clients and internal teams. You’ll collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. This role is a great opportunity for early-career developers (0–5 years) to grow their skills across the full software development lifecycle while contributing to meaningful, real-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web and/or internal applications based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and other developers to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes.
- Use developer tools to build, run, test, profile, and debug applications efficiently.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for features, integrations, and support handoffs.
- Support application deployments and participate in continuous improvement of development processes.
- Follow secure development practices and contribute to protecting data and systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with developer tools used for building and debugging applications (e.g., IDEs, debuggers, browser dev tools, build tools).
- Understanding of software development fundamentals (data structures, APIs, version control concepts, testing).
- Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to learn in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications
- 0–5 years of experience in application development, software engineering, or a related role (including internships, co-ops, or project-based experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with source control and modern development workflows (e.g., branching, pull requests) is a plus.
- Exposure to testing practices (unit/integration testing) and basic CI/CD concepts is a plus.
