About The Data Protection Officer Role
Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.
We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer who can design, deliver, and embed a data protection and privacy strategy. You'll advance the adoption of our group policy, procedures, risk, and control frameworks across the company.

What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitating operations of our compliance program, advising consumer product teams on regulatory change, audits, key risk indicators, compliance governance, and reporting processes
- Monitoring changes in regulatory obligations and identifying necessary controls to mitigate associated risks
- Advising the business on privacy/data protection requirements and related controls in the US, and monitoring their compliance
- Representing Revolut in front of key stakeholders, both internal (Legal, Risk, etc.) and external (regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.), on data protection and privacy compliance matters
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of compliance, privacy, risk management, legal, or audit experience
- Expertise of applicable privacy laws and regulations, including TCPA, TSR, CAN-SPAM, GLBA, FCRA, FACTA, FFIEC guidance, CCPA, and COPPA
- Experience advising and implementing effective challenge on privacy risks, and supporting business lines through various interactions and forum engagements
- A willingness and passion to develop knowledge and expertise in other related areas, such as wider data and AI governance
- A solid understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business risk
- A solution-oriented mindset that facilitates solving complex privacy and data protection problems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated sound judgement and analytical skills
- The ability to provide clear, concise, and timely advice when dealing with ambiguity

- A background in large banks or high-growth fintech companies
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- A proven ability to work in a complex international environment
- Relevant data protection certifications (e.g., IAPP CIPP/E, CDPO/FR, etc.)
