Why This Role Is Valuable
The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency-improving solutions for the monthly valuation of commercial mortgage loans.
How You Add Value
- Analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions
- Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements
- Using the latest technology tools—including AI coding tools and agents—to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of Excel workflows
- Writing code that ingests and exports data to/from Excel and databases
- Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application
- Learning to use Azure Data Factory (ADF) to extract, transform, and load data
- Adding various time-saving and helpful features to our family of .NET Core website applications
What You Bring To The Role
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- The candidate should have a strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading
- This position requires candidates to have three main pillars of professional skill:
- Writing code in an object-oriented coding language
- Manipulating various type of database data using SQL
- Working with complex Excel workbooks
The main object-oriented coding language used in this position is C#, however experience with Java/C++/Python and a willingness to learn C# is acceptable. Database data is primarily housed within Microsoft SQL databases, though some data is found in Snowflake data warehouses. Being a strong user of either T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL is required, though the candidate must be willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree or higher in a STEM field
- Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
- Candidates with a combination of strong technology skills and deep finance knowledge
- Any experience with web development would be favored but is not required
- Willingness to adopt the latest and greatest in AI technology
Compensation and Benefits
Base Compensation Range: $112,440.00 To $164,868.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
