Job Overview
The Member Experience Representative at Resource One Credit Union assists members and non-members with various administrative and financial transactions. The role includes processing routine banking transactions, recommending products and services based on financial goals, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Greet members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cashiers’ checks, money orders, and loan payments through various channels.
- Balance and verify daily transactions and cash totals.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Open and close computer terminal accounts daily.
- Examine documents for endorsement and negotiability.
- Detect and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Perform drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience.
- Prior banking or credit union experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent mathematical and problem solving skills.
- Strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Ability to operate a 10-key series.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and adapting in a changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stationary work with prolonged standing or sitting.
- Operation of standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Ability to navigate the facility with reasonable accommodations.
- Occasional lifting of small parcels and packages.
Additional Notes
