About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager at Resource Monitor Technology to build and scale our channel sales program from the ground up. In this role, you will recruit, enable, and support distributors, irrigation supply houses, and water well contractors to sell our IoT water monitoring platform.
This is not your typical job. As an early employee at Resource Monitor, you'll join a fast-moving startup at a pivotal moment. Expect to work directly with founders, wear multiple hats, and operate in an environment where ambiguity and urgency are the norm.
What You'll Do
- Build the channel from scratch by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding partners.
- Enable partner success by training on our technology and sales process.
- Conduct compelling presentations and demonstrations to identify RM Champions.
- Develop strategic partnerships and create scalable onboarding processes.
- Drive partner performance through coaching and tracking sales activity.
- Generate market intelligence via trade shows and regional events.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Achieve revenue targets and provide strategic field feedback.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will have initiated relationships with 15-20 potential channel partners, signed and activated 5-10 active partners by six months, and built a thriving channel network generating consistent revenue by the end of year one.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B outside or channel sales experience in relevant industries.
- Proven track record with distributors, dealers, and contractor networks.
- Strong prospecting skills and ability to engage the right channel partners.
- Experience in product demonstrations and training sessions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently managing your territory.
- Comfort with technology, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively (40-60% of the time) with a valid driver's license.
Bonus Points
- Existing relationships in the target industries.
- Experience with hardware/IoT solutions and recurring software.
- Background in irrigation, agriculture, water management, or well drilling.
- Successful track record launching or scaling channel programs.
