About the role
About Remix
We turn people into content creators. Not with templates or editing tools. Remix takes the stuff you already have - voice notes, photos, messages, social profiles - and uses AI agents to turn it into real, polished content automatically.
I'm Sam, the founder. CS at Harvard, early employee at Brex, built algorithmic friend matching at Facebook before that. I've been obsessed with how people share things online since I was building social apps in middle school. Remix is the company I've been circling for a decade.
We're a small team. Three people, $1.5M raised from YC, the founder of OKCupid, and other angels. We have strong engineering and design. What we don't have is someone who wakes up thinking about content and distribution every day. That's this role.
What You'd Actually Do
- Run our social presence across TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter/X. 3-5 posts a week, minimum. You're making the content, not managing a calendar.
- Find and manage UGC creators. Build a small roster of people who can show Remix in action authentically.
- Run paid acquisition experiments on Meta and TikTok. Real budget, real accountability. We're tracking cost per signup, not likes.
- Talk to users constantly. When we ship something new, you're finding 5-10 people to try it within 48 hours and telling us what they said.
- Shape the product. You'll have opinions about what we build because you're closer to users than anyone else on the team.
First month
- Take over our accounts. Post consistently. Talk to 15 users. Come back with a point of view on where our first 1,000 organic users come from.
This role is remote and it's not a grind-until-you-collapse situation. I care about output, not hours. But you need to be self-directed. Nobody is assigning you tasks. You see what needs to happen and you do it.

- You've grown an account before. Link it. That matters more than your resume.
- You actually post on social media. You have taste. You know why some things work and others don't, and you can explain it.
- You're comfortable spending money on ads and being accountable for results.
- You're curious about AI and excited about what it's going to do to content creation. You don't need to be technical, but you should care.
- You want to learn fast. You don't need to have done every part of this job before. But you need to be the kind of person who figures things out.
