The Performance Core Power Applications team at Renesas Electronics is seeking a System Applications Engineer recently graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree. This role focuses on cutting edge power solutions for server and infrastructure processor/SOC/ASIC applications.

Job Description

As a System Applications Engineer, you will:

  • Validate and characterize products with hands-on lab work
  • Set up and execute power delivery network simulations using power integrity tools
  • Run simulations for power converter circuits and systems to resolve issues
  • Produce technical documentation including application notes and design guidelines
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout reviews of evaluation and customer boards

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred) with a power electronics focus
  • Experience with multi-phase Buck regulators and digitally enabled power management
  • Familiarity with Python or C, lab equipment, and simulation tools (Simplis, PSpice)
  • Working knowledge of various DC/DC converter topologies and control theory
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
