Graduate ESD and Latch-up Engineer

Position Overview: This new college grad role is for an entry-level ESD and Latch-up Engineer at Renesas Electronics in Palm Bay, Florida. The candidate will join the Failure Analysis Team to establish an ESD and Latch-up characterization group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform ESD and Latch-up characterization for new products.
  • Create HBM, CDM, and Latch-up test programs per JEDEC and AEC standards.
  • Design and build test fixtures including boards and sockets.
  • Provide regular test status updates to internal teams.
  • Debug failing pins and collaborate with Failure Analysis and Design teams.
  • Maintain ESD and Latch-up submission policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with electrical bench or instrument control work.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and packaging.
  • Strong grasp of diode and transistor functionality.
  • Basic soldering skills are ideal.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple tasks.
