2. About the Opportunity:
The Staff Software Engineer will play a critical role in expanding the organization's capabilities in cardiometabolic care and physical activity. This role involves high ownership in designing and building new member and care team-facing experiences, primarily focused on backend development with flexibility to contribute across the stack. The engineer will shape technical architecture, set quality standards, mentor peers, and translate complex product needs into reliable systems, directly impacting the quality of care delivered.
3. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and cross-functional teams to deliver product vision.
• Own end-to-end architecture and technical direction for new experiences.
• Utilize technical judgment across various languages and systems, leveraging modern engineering and AI-assisted tools.
• Maintain high code quality through clean, well-tested, scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers, clarify ambiguous challenges, and drive rapid delivery.
• Define medium-term technical strategies and identify high-value projects ahead of roadmaps.
4. Requirements:
• Over 10 years of experience developing readable, tested, efficient code.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language, with flexibility across the stack.
• Experience with Ruby or Python.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Skills in designing scalable, secure APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with large language models and generative AI best practices.
• Proven use of AI-assisted development workflows to expedite product delivery.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and deployment tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Understanding of logging, monitoring, telemetry, and DevOps principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
