About the Opportunity
The Software Development Engineer plays a vital role within the Technology department by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support business operations and strategic goals. This position contributes across the software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications. The role spans multiple experience levels, from entry-level engineers gaining foundational skills to senior engineers providing technical leadership and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using technologies such as C#, .NET, REACT, and REACT Native
- Build scalable and efficient solutions that meet business and technical requirements
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development efforts
- Write and execute unit, integration, and performance tests
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure reliability and optimal performance
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality
- Define and manage development tasks, timelines, and milestones using project management tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of software solutions
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyze application performance and implement improvements
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of code, processes, and architectural decisions
- Follow naming conventions and coding standards across projects
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively across teams
- Utilize development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, and CI/CD platforms
- Work with relational databases including query optimization and schema design
- Stay current with emerging technologies and development methodologies
- Drive innovation and process improvements within the development team
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in software development or programming
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven ability to deliver software solutions independently
- Experience with technologies such as C#, .NET, REACT, Python, and SQL
- Familiarity with agile development environments
