About the Opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer will build and maintain cloud-based services critical to product performance, reliability, and customer experience. This role contributes to the design and implementation of systems supporting risk, identity, and fraud-related products, and owns features through the entire development lifecycle. The position supports production environments and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features aligned with business goals.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy scalable cloud services and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern engineering practices.
- Manage features and technical deliverables from development to production support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; participate in on-call rotations.
- Enhance platform performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and design decisions.
- Document system behavior, technical decisions, and operational procedures.
- Work with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams to solve complex technical problems.
- Foster an engineering culture focused on learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing cloud-based applications using Java, JavaScript, and/or Python.
- Experience with AWS services including compute, storage, database, or serverless technologies.
- Skilled in developing and supporting RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and writing unit and integration tests.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Datadog, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
- Salary range: $100,649 to $174,459.
- Compensation varies based on location, skills, experience, and education.
- Eligibility for variable pay opportunities.
