About the Opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform role involves designing and building foundational platforms that enable engineering teams to develop, ship, and operate software products more effectively. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate platform systems to improve software delivery confidence and speed.
- Work across deployment orchestration, CI/CD, Kubernetes, event streaming, databases, and reliability tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify platform gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Modernize existing platforms and develop new systems to strengthen foundational infrastructure.
- Utilize AI tools to support development, prototyping, and quality improvement.
- Lead technical projects from initial framing through implementation and operational ownership.
- Balance tradeoffs among speed, reliability, maintainability, and long-term platform goals.
- Foster an engineering culture emphasizing curiosity, communication, ownership, and learning.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.
- Experience building, operating, or enhancing backend or infrastructure systems for engineering teams.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and adaptability to various systems and technical areas.
- Expertise in platform domains such as deployment systems, CI/CD, Kubernetes, event streaming, Temporal, databases, observability, and developer tooling.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous technical challenges into clear plans and solutions.
- Effective collaboration with engineers and technical leaders to understand needs and make informed decisions.
- Interest in integrating AI into engineering workflows and mentoring others in its use.
- Demonstrated curiosity and sound judgment with proactive communication.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
- Zone A: $217,800—$326,800 USD
- Zone B: $207,000—$310,400 USD
- Zone C: $196,100—$294,100 USD
- Zone D: $185,200—$277,800 USD
