About the Opportunity

The Senior Software Engineer role in the Platform team focuses on developing and leading the technical direction for secure identity management, authentication, and authorization protocols. This position is critical in building resilient and scalable backend and full-stack solutions using TypeScript and cloud technologies, contributing to the platform's architectural evolution and continuous deployment improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enhance effective software development practices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code emphasizing observability and resilience
  • Mentor junior engineers to support their growth and ownership of larger projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product vision and scope
  • Plan and forecast quarterly goals balancing technical debt, bug fixes, and new features
  • Lead software development lifecycle activities including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and production support

Requirements

  • Eligibility to comply with U.S. government security requirements for FedRAMP-authorized systems, possibly including U.S. citizenship
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable full-stack code in Node.js/TypeScript
  • Experience with large-scale, highly available distributed systems and SaaS platforms
  • Skilled in developing scalable backend services on cloud providers, preferably AWS
