About the Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Legal Operations is responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle from intake through execution, ensuring contracts are processed efficiently with appropriate risk controls. This role plays a critical part in accelerating business deals, managing vendor relationships, and reducing risk exposure, while continuously enhancing contracting processes to support organizational scalability. The position requires collaboration across departments to resolve contractual issues and maintain momentum toward deal closure.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract processes, including intake, negotiation, and execution
- Review, draft, and redline various agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, Service Provider Agreements, Solutions Proposals, and Statements of Work
- Serve as primary contact for counterparties during negotiations
- Balance speed and risk to advance agreements without unnecessary liability
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Insurance) to resolve commercial terms
- Identify and escalate legal or risk concerns to senior leadership when necessary
- Track contract statuses to ensure timely execution and transparency
- Support ongoing improvements to contracting workflows and processes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or related roles
- Proven experience negotiating commercial contracts including NDAs and MSAs
- Strong skills in redlining and identifying legal/commercial issues
- Good understanding of key contract terms such as liability, indemnity, payment, and service levels
- Effective communication with legal and non-legal stakeholders
- Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, priority-driven environment
- Experience with contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM) is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree required; JD or paralegal certification is a plus
- Must be based in the United States
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Base salary range in New York City is $120,000 to $130,000, plus opportunities for bonus. Compensation may vary by geography.
