This Senior Manager, Learning role is pivotal in leading the Manager and Leadership Development practice, focusing on building leadership capabilities for people leaders within a remote-first environment. The position encompasses program management, learning experience design, facilitation, and coaching to significantly advance leadership development strategies across the organization.

Responsibilities of a Senior Manager, Learning

  • Lead and evolve the Leadership Development practice to deliver timely and effective learning solutions for various leadership levels.
  • Partner with the Director of Learning and Development to formulate comprehensive leadership development strategies for managers and leaders, as well as broader learning programs for all employees.
  • Assess and redesign existing manager development programs, ensuring they are optimally suited for a remote-first work environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts to develop engaging content and curriculum.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate instructor-led training sessions when necessary to ensure impactful learning delivery.
  • Develop clear communications, strategic plans, and internal content specifically related to leadership learning initiatives.
  • Define, accurately measure, and comprehensively report on key leadership development success metrics to demonstrate program effectiveness.
  • Manage and continuously improve the People Leader Hub, serving as the central resource for all people leader learning and development needs.

Requirements for a Senior Manager, Learning

  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs for global workforces exceeding 2000 employees.
  • Proven experience in scaling Executive Coaching programs and effectively measuring their impact and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct multi-year roadmaps that strategically focus on critical leadership moments and transitions.
  • Strong human-centered design skills, evidenced by the application of all phases of the design process to create compelling learning experiences.
  • A minimum of 8 years of combined experience in leadership development program design, management, experience design, and facilitation.
  • Practical experience in developing and delivering curriculum from scratch, coupled with the ability to coach others in developing these essential skills.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities, employing a data-driven approach to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex information into clear, understandable messages.
  • Preferred: Coaching certification from ICF or another accredited organization.
  • Preferred: A proven track record of developing programs that deliver tangible business impact and a clear return on investment (ROI).
  • Preferred: Strong relationship-building skills, crucial for fostering effective cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Preferred: A continuous improvement mindset, consistently focused on enhancing overall program quality.
  • Preferred: Experience leveraging various learning technologies, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), to scale programs effectively.

Compensation for a Senior Manager, Learning

The compensation package includes base pay, equity rewards, and monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology spending. Additionally, benefits include fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Base Pay Grade: M
  • Equity Grade: 9
  • Base pay range for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT: $180,000 - $230,000 per year
  • Base pay range for all other U.S. states: $160,000 - $210,000 per year
