The Senior Engineering Manager role involves leading multiple engineering teams to drive technical direction, delivery, and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple engineering teams, overseeing delivery, technical direction, and performance.
- Manage performance outcomes, ensuring consistent feedback and development for managers and individual contributors.
- Drive technical and operational strategy across teams to optimize system-level outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to define goals, roadmaps, sequencing, and success metrics.
- Coach Engineering Managers and individual contributors, holding them accountable for results and leadership.
- Provide clarity in ambiguous situations and improve teams facing delivery, technical, or organizational challenges.
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives with planning around capacity, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
- Establish and track metrics to measure progress and improve team effectiveness.
- Maintain high technical quality and reliability across teams.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding engineering talent to grow the team and organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years managing people, including leading multiple teams or managers.
- Proven track record coaching managers or senior individual contributors with strong performance management and feedback.
- Experience leading distributed teams, including offshore engineers and contractors, driving alignment and quality across time zones.
- Systems thinker with ability to drive alignment and leverage across teams.
- Effective in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, able to create structure where needed.
- Strong technical judgment and credibility, shaping architectural direction while enabling team ownership.
- Solid product and business understanding with clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- History of shipping user-facing products.
- Passion for improving the therapy experience for providers and clients and simplifying access to care.

Compensation
Salary range between $200,000 and $220,000. New hires typically start near the midpoint of salary bands with no negotiation on compensation, equity, or benefits to ensure pay equity.
