About the Senior Director, Data Opportunity

The organization is focused on making homeownership more valuable and accessible by helping homeowners access their wealth and achieve financial flexibility. This senior leadership role leads the analytics, data engineering, and data science teams, using data to drive business decisions and measurable impact. The role involves managing a modern data platform and elevating analytical rigor and experimentation, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vision, strategy, and execution of the data function across analytics, data engineering, and data science
  • Operate and evolve a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Estuary, Sigma, Hightouch, and PostHog
  • Own company-wide metric definitions, experimentation standards, and analytics prioritization
  • Lead and contribute to the analytics function to ensure insights and experimentation influence business decisions
  • Build scalable infrastructure and workflows for data science to enhance modeling, analysis, and experimentation
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing data team

Requirements

  • 12+ years in data roles with senior leadership experience in analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, or data science at high-growth technology companies, preferably fintech or similar
  • Proven success in building and leading data teams that deliver business impact
  • Deep expertise in metrics, experimentation, and decision-oriented analytics with ownership of analytical frameworks influencing strategy
  • Strong technical and systems knowledge to evaluate data architectures, tooling, and data science approaches
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical approaches and outcomes
  • Hands-on approach when needed with effective delegation skills
  • Clear communicator and trusted leader who sets high standards and invests in their team

Compensation

Salary is benchmarked by market data and candidate experience, location, and interview signals. Compensation excludes equity, benefits, and other perks.
