About the Opportunity
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will transform complex data into actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. This role is integral in delivering clear, interpretable data to various teams to inform both defensive and offensive strategies. The analyst will also contribute to advancing AI-readiness by developing a trusted data foundation that enables AI-driven analytics, natural language querying, and intelligent automation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate key performance indicators internally and externally
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analytic findings with recommendations
- Collaborate with BI team members to develop scalable and optimized business intelligence solutions
- Understand core business processes to align data development with strategy
- Explore data to identify patterns, relationships, anomalies, and trends
- Develop data dictionaries and documentation, including AI-ready metadata supporting AI analytics tools
- Audit datasets for quality and lineage; define and monitor data quality rules and work with engineering to resolve issues
- Analyze testing results to ensure BI solutions meet business needs; recommend standards and policies for BI tools
- Partner with data engineering on metadata cataloging to enhance data trust and discoverability
- Evaluate and pilot AI-assisted development and analysis tools to improve BI delivery and analyst productivity
- Apply structured and AI-augmented analysis techniques to extract deeper insights from large datasets
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in data roles, with at least 2 years in Business Intelligence
- Experience with Modern Data Stack, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, ETL tools; Python for data analysis and automation
- Expert-level SQL skills across various relational database systems
- Experience with NoSQL databases and large data sets is a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis, profiling, and transformation techniques
- Experience defining and applying data quality frameworks
- Familiarity with AI-driven development tools and interest in applying them to BI
- Experience engaging with C-suite, product teams, and business users to deliver actionable insights
- Knowledge of open-source reporting and data governance tools is a plus
Pay Range and Compensation Package
