About the Opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - AI/ML will design, build, and operate AI and machine learning features within the cloud platform. This role is critical to developing scalable and integrated AI capabilities that enhance the platform's appeal to data scientists and AI practitioners, directly impacting the organization's position as a leading AI/ML platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-powered features across backend and frontend components.
- Develop robust, scalable APIs connecting database functions with AI/ML systems.
- Implement and maintain integrations with AI/ML frameworks and tools.
- Integrate AI models into production with monitoring and version control.
- Participate in daytime on-call rotation.
- Create developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for AI/ML capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Experience working with AI/ML technologies.
- Backend development skills in TypeScript or Python with API design focus.
- Strong ownership to drive features from concept to production independently.
- Effective communication in collaborative settings.
